On November 6, AVR’s Team AVengers was up early to walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.  The annual walk at Tempe Beach Park was estimated to have over 10,000 participants. More than $250 dollars was raised for the American Cancer Society by the 10-person AVR team.

“The energy was positive and upbeat during the event,” said AVR’s Andrea Kusick. “I had such a great time, and enjoyed seeing how many people were out enjoying the beautiful Saturday morning. I will definitely be participating in the event next year!” AVR at the 2010 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Susan Smith of AVR said, “Seeing survivors walking and those walking in memory of a loved one puts it in perspective. We were proud to walk with those so passionate in supporting efforts that will help our future generations”.

AVR is active in the Phoenix community and the Team AVengers looks forward to   participating in walk again next year.
